2006

NHAPA prepares to kick off their 50th anniversary year. NHAPA has grown from a small, local dance studio into a true center for performing arts. Having trained thousands of dancers, NHAPA prides itself on maintaining the quality of dance education while providing a personal, family environment where all are welcomed.

 

2004

In the Spring, the old studio is razed and construction begins. Sixteen weeks later, NHAPA celebrates the opening of their new facility.

 

2003

After operating two locations for several years, plans are made to build a brand new facility at the Seabrook location, bringing the NHAPA family back to one location. The new facility is designed with dance in mind: Sprung hardwood & Marley floors, spacious, airy studios and state of the art sound and video systems.

 

2000

The SCDC & NHAPA celebrate the new millenium by appearing in Miami at the FEDEX Orange Bowl Halftime Show.

 

1999

The SCDC along with other NHAPA students appear at Portsmouth Harbor to celebrate the Piscataqua Maritime Commissions tall ship visit. NHAPA prepares to open a satellite studio at Centennial Hall in North Hampton.

 

1998

The SCDC attends the Dance Educators of America national competition in Las Vegas where Mrs. Patent is awarded the prestigious President's Cup for overall high score and outstanding choreography.

 

1997

Encouraged by the overwhelming response to their 1996 production of "A Tribute to RiverDance" the SCDC performs for a full house at the Portsmouth Music Hall along with guest artists, Gergory Filler and Steve Schuch.

 

1996

The SCDC is invited to perform at the 1996 Centennial Olympics in Atlanta.

 

1985

The Seacoast Civic Dance Company performs regularly at a multitude of community events and venues including Market Square Day, Yankee Homecoming at area schools and nursing homes. In 1989, the SCDC attends their first dance competition.

 

1977

NHAPA celebrates its 20th anniversary. Robyne graduates from Walnut Hill School of Performing Arts.
